Introduction - Tatler Media pack
1) Look at the Tatler Media Pack. Go to page 2: how does the editor introduce the magazine?
The editor introduces the magazine by saying what the Tatler magazine is and who it's aimed for.

2) Now go to page 4 of the Media Pack. Focus on the print magazine (NOT tatler.com - the website). List the key demographic details: age, gender %, ABC1 % (social class), HHI (Household Income), % of those living in London and the South East. What do these demographic details suggest about the average Tatler reader?

The average Tatler reader are women, in their 40s, living in London or south east, has an high social class and have an HHI of over £260,000.

3) Look at page 6. What do Tatler readers think about fashion? How much do they spend?
Tatler readers like to spend alot of money on fashion and majority of their readers own designer clothes. £843 million was spent on fashion last year.

4) Go to page 10. What are the special editions of Tatler that run throughout the year? What does this suggest about the pyschographic groups who read Tatler?
The special editions of Tatler that run  throughout year are the following
-Travel guide 
-wedding guide
-beauty and cosmic guide
-spa guide
-Watches & jewellery guide
-school guide
The physcographic groups who read Tatler are mainstream people and what I think about them is that they want to know what products and brands are up to date.

Media language 1) What different examples of typography can you find on the cover of Tatler? What are the connotations of the serif and sans serif fonts? 
I can see both sans serif and serif fonts. This connotes that the magazine is for rich, and not to posh people.

2) How do the cover lines appeal to the Tatler target audience?
It makes the target audience want to read more.


3) What are the connotations of the Tatler colour scheme on this particular front cover?
The Tatler colour scheme on the front cover is pink, green and gold. The connotations of the colour pink is that it is aimed at females because pink is stereo typically is a female colour

4) How is the central image designed to create interest in the magazine? Find three reasons for your answer. (E.g. Mise-en-scene such as props, costume and make-up, body position, facial expression)
The clothes and the make-up the model is wearing is used to create interest for people who care about fashion and make-up. The model fashion expression is serious which is used to create interest for people who are serious about life. The model body expression is slouched which shows that she is slouched.

The different groups of people are represented are white rich women.

2) What do the cover lines suggest about the lifestyle of rich people in the UK?
The cover lines suggests that rich people in the UK party a lot, buy expensive clothing.

3) Are there any stereotypes being reinforced or subverted? How? Why?
There are stereotypes being reinforced or subverted.

4) Find three other front covers for Tatler. What issues, subjects or people are regularly featured in Tatler?
Meghan Markle regularly feature in a Tatler front covers. Subjects that are regularly featured in tatler are 
scandals and social media.
